The Goods and Services Locator Language (GSLL) Expanded Version, otherwise known as the Food Tracking Language for URL Inclusion, is suggested as a convenient method of meeting traceability requirements of the Food Safety Modernization Act. Meant to provide information within a URL or web address, it consists of the following elements and attributes, but is not restricted to only these elements and attributes in order to adequately describe a good and/or service. Suggested minimum to put in a URL or web address

Basic information can be read from the web address itself without clicking on the URL. More extensive information can be optionally added for URL click thru including chain of custody, temperature and time recordings, even location by GPS of where in field crop was grown, if properly set up in a database. URL can be managed using most open source software like a PHP-mySQL combination.
